Workshop Description: The Scratch Maze Game Room. This workshop will introduce participants to creating a game with user-friendly Scratch coding. Participants will use computers to design a maze and then navigate your player icon from start to finish while avoiding obstacles and advancing levels. Beginners will make a simple maze. Those with some Scratch experience can share ideas to make their games more complicated. Either way - you will have fun combining Technology, Art and Math by using Scratch.
Workshop Speakers: June and Wolfie Saavedra.
June is an 8th grade Language Arts teacher at Ben Franklin Middle School. She was first introduced to Scratch at the eVisionary Conference and then began incorporating Scratch projects into her classroom. Wolfie is a 5th grader at Hayes Leonard Elementary School and was introduced to Scratch in an enrichment program at Hayes. He enjoys making maze games using Scratch and remixing Scratch projects.
